Where Oh Where Have Those Little Zales Gone…

…Answer?  Nowhere.  They’re happy and healthy over here on my PC.

Where have I been?  Nowhere.  I’m happy and healthy over here in my house.  Nothing big has happened, nothing new… I just haven’t felt like playing and posting.

I have 3/4th of a Zale update ready to go, and it’s just 4 SimDays until the YA birthday for Natalie and Nova, and then I could heir poll – but I just haven’t been feeling it.

I always tell people – THIS IS SUPPOSED TO BE FUN.  IT IS A FUN HOBBY THAT WE DO BECAUSE IT BRINGS US JOY.  It isn’t that I’ve stopped having fun, or that my lovely Zales don’t continue to bring me joy… I just can’t bring myself to take pictures, make notes, upload, caption and post.  It all sounds like WORK.

So!  I apologize to those of you who might be waiting for an update.  I thank all of you for your patience, and I KNOW you understand.

Today is the 2 year Anniversary of my sign up date on WordPress.  I wish I had a proper post for you, but I thank you for reading, I thank you for following – and I promise I have not abandoned the Zale Family.

(I am considering deleting the Lightning Blog… It’s almost over, and not that epic…)

For hanging in there, here’s a sneak peek into the next post.

Stay awesome and hang in there.  I’ll be back.
Until next time, Happy Simming!

Miss you but I understand completly. My life…has twisted upside down and back and again so many times in the last little while I no longer know what way is up. I want to write but I sit down and just…look at the words. I want to catch up to where I am in the game (2 or 3 chapters) so I can play again because I think getting to play my family will help. Because I do miss my Cultrics! And I miss your Zales. Take what time you need and I will be here and excited when you get back!

Aw, I’m sorry things have been so topsy turvy lately, dear Zefie! I miss your Cultrics too. I can’t wait to see how things continue for Betta and family!

You know, even just logging in and posting this update makes me feel a bit more inclined to play! Thanks for reading and your support!

I completely understand playing cycles; it’s part of the reason I’m playing and posting so much at the moment, because I know there will inevitably be times when I don’t want to play, and at the moment I do want to!

The Zales have already gone way past the usual 10 generations that others struggle to get to, so don’t worry about going slow now!

I really was proud of the momentum The Zales had, but I guess it was inevitably going to slow up… I really haven’t even been playing much. I’m doing the Boolprop Next Top Model, so I’ve been playing a little Sims 4, and I got Cities Skylines which is so fun, I’ve been playing a lot of that too – zero TS3. But I promise I’ll get back to it! The N take over is going to be fun! And I’ll do something IP related, and it’ll be all new and exciting for me!

Glad to hear you are doing well. I was actually thinking about you the other day and wondering how you were. No worries about needing to take a break. You’re right. It’s suppose to be fun, it’s a hobby. And at the same time, it’s Summer! BBQing, cool drink sipping, smell of fresh cut grass- summer. I always find it hard to play games this time of year. Winter- no problem lol.
Take your time and just enjoy yourself. When you feel like playing again I’m sure everyone will be here ^-^. I personally enjoy the lightnings but if you’re not feeling it anymore don’t feel like you have to continue. Again, it’s your choice and your hobby. Have a great summer Heather!

You’re right! I hadn’t really thought about the fact that I’m outside doing stuff far more often than other seasons!

I think I’ll just finish up the Lightnings and then leave the blog up until traffic stops, then I’ll blow it up.

First off, let me say I’m so sorry for disappearing on your last night. The toddler decided I needed to get away from the computer for a good 20 minutes by causing chaos haha.
Secondly, take all the time you need. I know exactly how it feels to not really feel like wanting to document your sims. As long as your enjoying yourself, that’s what counts. I’ll be here waiting when a new chapter comes out though ^_^. ❤

It’s okay Sammy! I totally understand! 🙂 And yeah, I think that’s why I like playing with my TS4 model so much, I don’t have to document everything – however sometimes I’m like OOH! I need to capture this! But then I realize no one even knows this family exists!

I’ll admit, I was a tad concerned (okay, so it felt like the apocalypse) when I realized the Langurds were being updated faster than the Zales! I knew you mustn’t be actively playing if I could keep up with you like that. 😛 But hey, it’s not a bad thing! I tend to binge-play when I’m avoiding things in real life, so personally, I consider it a relatively good thing if I go a while without indulging in The Sims. Either way, you’ve already accomplished an insane amount in two years! I doubt any of the rest of us could make it 14 gens IN AN ISBI without losing our minds. I’m excited to see more from the Zales, but I’d be excited for any new project that draws your interest, too. 🙂 In the meantime, hope you enjoy the summer!

    1. Heather Post author

Ha! You are too funny! And you’re right! I’m not actively playing! You know, I think the ISBI part is easy – If nearly the entire family fails at life and doesn’t get any skills or accomplish anything it isn’t that I failed as a Simmer, it’s simply because I get to ignore them! No pressure man.

I had something in mind for the future, but I’m not sure it’ll work… we’ll see! One thing at a time, ha ha ha.

I was just thinking about you and the Zales. Glad to hear you’re doing well! I totally understand slowing down the updates. I’m there right now lol! It’s summer, enjoy it!
I just want to say that, I too enjoy the Lightenings but again it’s your decision. I look forward to another chapter whenever you’re ready!

  7. plumbawesim

I totally understand. I haven’t been posting (or reading 😦 ) anything either. It IS a lot of work and real life sometimes gets in the way.
I will await your next update, but don’t feel rushed. Your readers aren’t going anywhere 🙂
(congratz on the two years by the way!!!)

Aww I wondered where you were! I have just gotten off of my 3 month break, so I understand completely how it goes and I was quite surprised that I was still mostly caught up.

Enjoy your break (even though the next post is up 😀 already).
