The Perils of Fatty Foods 8.5

So hello!  Welcome to an actual, genuine, bonafide, Zale update!  Last time, in order to fix all my games problems, we moved the family to Lucky Palms, and I built a house that doesn’t suck.  This post exceeds 100 pictures, so I think we can all agree it was a long time coming!  Let’s get to it!

We begin with a Zale Check!
Screenshot
Here’s Flora and Giles playing Frisbee!

Meredith is standing around getting ready for an “Extreme Swim”
Screenshot-2

Helen is enjoying the pool…
Screenshot-3

And Ramon is playing in the fountain!
Screenshot-4

David is the only one concerned that the baby has just been sitting in the hot desert sun for hours.
Screenshot-5

And Ivy plays with her IF.
Screenshot-6

Skilling resumes in the new homestead!
Screenshot-7

And Zale-Style parenting remains the same as always.
Screenshot-8
*BOOP*

Meredith finds the slot machine!
Screenshot-9
And kicks it.  Frequently.

Ramon wants to scare the fishies.
Screenshot-10
Hee hee, childish man.

This is the life, huh Helen?
Screenshot-11

You are adorable.
Screenshot-12

So is Ramon!
Screenshot-13

Aw man, my Zales are on an adorable streak.
Screenshot-14

Helen got an opportunity to read a book for a promotion, so we head to the library for some quiet time.
Screenshot-15

Our first townie!
Screenshot-16
He got swag.  😐

Helen is adorable in her police officer uniform.
Screenshot-17

Maybe if Flora wasn’t so danged physically active, she’d die already.
Screenshot-18

Gnome Eve has found the joys of the bathtub!
Screenshot-19
You’ll see her here much later – she lives here now.

OHMYLLAMA IT’S FINALLY HAPPENING!
Screenshot-20
She’s like, 109.

Goodbye Flora Zale!
Screenshot-21

Grimmy does NOT approve of my new building skills.
Screenshot-22
Sorry dude.

Yes, yes, it’s very sad.
Screenshot-23

Seriously Flora?  You haven’t had enough?
Screenshot-24
I sure have!  Shoo!  Into the urn!

David failed to witness Flora’s death.  He has been at a friends house since after school.
Screenshot-25
He picked up a guitar and has been playing for hours.

He has met the Tanner Family.
Screenshot-26
Here is the lady of the house, Aya Tanner, with a bun in the oven.

And his friend, Ethan.
Screenshot-27

And here’s the father, and the young girl child.
Screenshot-28
The father is named Romon.  Not Ramon.  Romon.  And their daughter Yuna.

Just for Laserkatt, the Helen sleepy hair is… A store item.  I sent it to you!  But you know that already.  While in the store, I did a little shopping…
Screenshot-29
The Zales have a deep fryer!  Wee!

It’s 1:00 am, and I get a pop up that David is being arrested for being out after curfew.
Screenshot-30
He looks “in” to me…

Thanks for the hospitality Tanner Family!  I’m gonna go get arrested now!
Screenshot-31

On the plus side, he smells terrible.
Screenshot-32
And the ride home must’ve been very yucky for this member of Lucky Palm’s finest.

Meredith: OH Hi Son!
Screenshot-33

you smell terrible.
Screenshot-34

And OMG YOU ARE SO GROUNDED!
Screenshot-35
David: I should’ve texted.

Note:  David then spends the rest of his life grounded.  I hope that it was worth it.
And he’s pretty much miserable forever.
Davids in a right state

Giles found the deep fryer!
Screenshot-36
Cheese sticks!

Don’t choke on the cheesy goodness old man.
Screenshot-37

Sticky gloves.  He should have taken them off before eating.
Screenshot-38
Either that or gravity defying fried cheese.

David tries to sneak off to school.
Screenshot-39
Believe it or not, he was successful!

Do not ask me why I never had Helen “Let him off the Hook”.  It wouldn’t have made much difference anyway, as he was constantly setting booby traps, getting caught, and getting grounded again.

Someone brought Ivy down and put her in this highchair.
Screenshot-40
We’ll see how long she gets trapped in there.

Ramon finds the deep fryer too!
Screenshot-41

And Meredith broke a sink.
Screenshot-42

But Meredith did manage to save Ivy from the highchair, so she’s not ALL terrible.
Screenshot-43
And look!  My maid has an interesting face!

Whenever Meredith and Giles are in the same room, she boos and gives him thumbs down.
Screenshot-44
Look what our beloved couple has become.  😦

Helen got a promotion, and Flora finally died, so we’re ready for parenthood again!
Screenshot-45

Alright you two, I love you both, now make me a boy!
Screenshot-46
We need it not only to meet my self-imposed mini challenge of at least one of each gender per generation, but it’s a BOYS’ TURN for TH!

Mother and son Not-Zales enjoy deep fried bacon.
Screenshot-47

Helen rolled a wish to use a telescope, so we did.
Screenshot-48
Town is pretty.  🙂

Helen then visits the lot behind the Zale estate.
Screenshot-49
She has business here.

Oh Zales of save files past, enjoy your new resting place!
Screenshot-50
I think it turned out lovely!  From left to right; Angelica, Abraham, Bettina, Leif – with Benji out front, Cyrus – with Traci and Changpu out front, Gustave, Daisy – with Duke, Duchess and Eddie out front, Erik, Liz, then Flora and Shelley.  Why Flora didn’t have a massive headstone, I have no idea, she had plenty of LTH.  Oh well.

Whoops!  It’s Irene’s birthday!
Screenshot-51

I see Ramon hair!
Screenshot-52

In fact I see a LOT of Ramon!
Screenshot-53

In CAS, I peeked at her as a Young Adult, and there’s plenty of Helen in her too.  She is fantastic and has MASSIVE eyes.  I love her!
Screenshot-54
Her favorite color is Lime.  She’s stinkin’ adorable.

Oh my little family, how I love thee.
Screenshot-55

Meanwhile, Meredith is addicted to this thing, and has a “gambling skill” level of four.
Screenshot-56

The first ghost to pop out in the new resting place is Traci!
Screenshot-57
Hi Traci!

Why David, thank you!  Skill away, Irene!  Bedtime for Ivy!
Screenshot-58

Helen then has a go with the deep fryer, and I have her make a corn dog.
Screenshot-59

Man, this thing is popular.
Screenshot-60
And dirty.

Ew!  It’s rancid!
Screenshot-61

Okay you guys, seriously.  At least clean it first?
Screenshot-62

Thought process of Ramon:  Hmm, my candy bar came out horrifying because this thing is so nasty.  Let’s try fish.
Screenshot-63

Seriously man!  EAT SOMETHING ELSE!
Screenshot-64

NO NO NO NO NO!
Screenshot-65

Meredith: Sweet, a nastyass deep fried candy bar!
Screenshot-66
Giles is the only one with a brain cell and prepared fresh food.

Ramon: This place is a pigsty.
Screenshot-67
YA THINK?

Ramon:  Fry fry fry!  Something is bound to turn out!
Screenshot-68
Ramon then continued to fry non-stop and put rancid, horrifying fried things all over the kitchen.  When the maid came, I assumed they were cleaned up.  But I was so wrong.  More on this later.

Great Meredith.  Thank you.
Screenshot-69
This is exactly what the kitchen needed.  A broken dishwasher. 😐

Out of all the wretched concoctions Ramon made, he settled for the second fish he fried.
Screenshot-70
Looks yummy.

David got in trouble for trying to go to school while grounded, then got his grounding refreshed by getting in trouble for skipping school.
Screenshot-71
Yeah, I’m sorry David.  Your mother’s an idiot.

Then she breaks more things.
Screenshot-72
But at least Ramon is trying to clean things up a bit.  I still love him, even after the frying debacle.

After all that fun with the fryer, however, Ramon isn’t feeling so hot.
Screenshot-73
Eve approves *thumbs up!*

Ramon!  She’s TIRED.  Put her to BED, and NOT in the playpen.
Screenshot-74
Hurry home Helen, I feel like you’ve been at work for days.

Meredith inflicts her unlucky day on additional household objects.
Screenshot-75
And pouts.

It’s Giles!  I hate that guy!
Screenshot-76
Nice Meredith.  REAL nice.

Bless you Helen!  You’re home!
Screenshot-77

At least Meredith is trying to clean up after herself.
Screenshot-78

Hurry Helen!  The Zale family might drown!
Screenshot-79

Helen?  Are you okay?
Screenshot-80
Why are you just standing there getting drenched?

Oh!  A baby is on the way!  Great!
Screenshot-81
Fix the sink.

Irene beats up her IF “Peanut”
Screenshot-82
Then she chews on it.
Screenshot-83
Which was adorable.  I love Irene!

Ivy is suffering from the “I got put in my crib even though I’m not tired” problem
Screenshot-84
Her IF stares.  😐

Ramon!  Stop playing with that thing and EAT SOMETHING!
Screenshot-85

Oh hey, someone left this bloomin’ onion type thing in the deep fryer and wandered off.
Screenshot-86
I wonder if it’ll catch fire?  Spoiler: It does.
Screenshot-87

Meredith:  BOOO!  I HATE GILES
Screenshot-88

Meredith: THIS IS AWESOME!  Giles:  OH NO OH NO OH NO!
Screenshot-89
David: *Flees*  Helen:  *Puts out fire like a sane person*

Giles:  That firefighter is so attractive!  *GAGS*
Screenshot-90

I replace the destroyed counter, but I will leave the deep fryer in this state…
Screenshot-91
…as a reminder of the perils of fatty foods.

Ugh, if she ever stops, I’m selling this thing.
Screenshot-92

Well!  She does stop!  She has a birthday!
Screenshot-93

The only Sim she hates shows up to cheer for her.
Screenshot-94

BOOOOOO!!!!  NOT THAT GUY!
Screenshot-95

But she does look pretty cute.
Screenshot-96

Speaking of cute, Helen is an adorable baby factory.
Screenshot-97
With her pajamas watching cookin’ cable.  She learned how to make chili con carne by watching this episode.

SO, remember all that food that Ramon fried?  And I thought the maid threw it all away?  Well no.  The maid put it all in the fridge.  And David has been eating it.  A lot.
Screenshot-98
LOOK HOW PUDGY HE’S GETTING!

Ivy has a birthday coming!  Since she will no longer be residing in the nursery, here’s her new big girl room!
Screenshot-99
I also completed her bathroom, so that’s two more rooms to add to the “completed” section!

Seriously you two?
Screenshot-100
What’s wrong?  Spoiler:  It was nothing.  Nothing was wrong.

But aw!  All better!
Screenshot-101

I hear the chime of failure, and Giles!  What are you doing out here?
Screenshot-102
This house has like, nine toilets.  There is no excuse for this.  😐

Then we get this pop-up about David.
failing david
Well of COURSE he is!  He hasn’t gone to school in over a week!  He keeps getting re-grounded, even on weekends for mood-swing inspired pranks and other bad behavior.

Helen rolled a wish to increase her logic skill, and since the house is so bare, I’ve been trying to catch all wishes for buying things, or buying things at a certain dollar amount, in order to furnish the house some.
Screenshot-103
So tada!  They own a dominoes table.  I pick my three least favorite Sims in the house to join her for a nice game.

It is interrupted by childbirth!
Screenshot-104
I send her off to the hospital.

Ramon somehow has fallen into possession of Flora’s old pink car, and speeds off to join her.
Screenshot-105

It’s a girl!
Imogene
You probably think this makes me mad, but it doesn’t!  You’ll see why shortly!

Meet Imogene.  She rolls perceptive and light sleeper.
Screenshot-106

Ralen get home with their new bundle of joy, but the excitement of the afternoon proves too much for Ramon.
Screenshot-107
I expected this however.  His needs were terrible, so he wets himself while starving.  Nice.

Then it’s Ivy’s birthday!  I tried to get her to a cake, but there was a swarm of Zales all taking turns picking her up out of the playpen, then putting her back, and you know, Helen just had a baby, so…
Screenshot-108
And it’s a full moon!  In case you were wondering why she looks so – green.

Ivy rolls technophobe.
Screenshot-109

And she’s adorable!
Screenshot-110

A quick late night slice of cheesy pizza with her momma, then it’s off to her new big girl room!
Screenshot-111

Now, you may be wondering why the birth of a third girl, when we need boys very badly, didn’t frustrate me.  Well!  I told myself that if it was a girl, I would kick out Meredith and David.  The household situation is now desperate, and besides, they aren’t Zales
adios brunsons
Toodles Brunsons!  I hope David does better in school now.  If I ever manage to have a birthday party, we’ll see you there.

Now.  Ralen.  We need SONS!
Screenshot-112
Picture is of falling hearts because capturing Sims woohooing always makes me feel like a bit of a creeper.  THINK BOYS!

And that’s it!  If you made it through, well good for you!  My game ran beautifully, not a hiccup to be had.  Come back soon!  Hopefully we’ll get a boy or two out of Ralen.  Giles is at the max of his life bar, and Meredith and David are gone, so that’s a possible THREE house spaces.  I’m super excited about all the Ralen kids, and if we can’t get any boys, oh well.  I’ll heir poll the girls and have another girl TH.  Until next time!  HAPPY SIMMING!

The Zales Have Landed in Lucky Palms 8.4.7

Well HI!  Just like the title states, The Zale Family has decided to grace the fine residents of Lucky Palms with their presence!  This chapter is 8.4.7, and not 8.5 yet, because all I do is get the Zales set up with a HOUSE.  That I built!  I can hear you all moaning, but it’s not terrible!  Really!  It’s far better than any house I’ve ever built ever, so this entire post is pretty much the house.  I tire quickly of building, but even MORE quickly furnishing and decorating.  So, there’s TONS of gray stone tile and white wallpaper.  There’s vast empty spaces and empty rooms.  But I’m extremely proud of it, so I’m forcing you all to visit.  There IS a fun shot of Ramon in the pool, so read on, if only for that!

My notes originally stated: The Zales buy a slab o’ land… oh great, I have to build.
Screenshot

But then I loved what I built!  So here’s an early shot of the home, when it’s just a shell.
Screenshot-2
I wanted to resemble a desert friendly estate, and I think it looks pretty good!

The pool area utilizes this fancy wave wall.
Screenshot-4

And it wouldn’t be a Zale estate if I hadn’t managed to drag the koi along!Screenshot-3
I love my koi.

I took this “in progress” shot of the kitchen, and a couple toilets reminding me I intended to have those spaces be bathrooms.
Screenshot-5
Then I took a few hour break.

Upon return, I remembered to place a few important things from the family inventory.
The abused Flamingo.
Screenshot-6
All the gnomes I could find.
Screenshot-7
And note!
Next Top Eve
Next Top Commenter has been renamed appropriately!  For our dear Eve who writes a fun Rainbowcy!

A Ralen sucking face picture.
Screenshot-8

A sketch that Bettina stole from the Consignment Store.
Screenshot-9

A painting by Celine
Screenshot-10

The nectar Daisy got in France
Screenshot-11

Then I unpaused to save and take a break, and who do we find in the pool?
Screenshot-12
Adorable.  Oh Ramon, you are the best!  I think they’re going to like it here!

Okay, here comes the actual house tour.  It’s not finished, there’s a lot of empty space, and nearly all the floors and wall are the same for now, but I’m ever so pleased with it, so enjoy!

Outside shot!
Screenshot-13
Note:  That fountain was just in their inventory.  I think it was a wedding present.  Who’s wedding?  No idea.

The entry!
Screenshot-14
I just love those tile stairs.  Beautiful!

There is also a piano in the entryway.
Screenshot-15
This is a FANCY blog, you know.

To the right from the entry…
Screenshot-16

…we have the living room.
Screenshot-17
I like the way this room turned out, but I don’t necessarily care for those lights, but whatever.  You can’t really see them when you’re playing.

Just off the living room is a generic bathroom.
Screenshot-18
It’s an ISBI though, I need all the bathrooms I can get.  And as time goes by, the house will become less bland.

To the left of the entry…
Screenshot-19

…we have a very large room with nothing in it except a fireplace and a pool table.
Screenshot-20

But it connects too the pool area!
Screenshot-21
And oh yeah, I put a computer desk in here!

Here’s the pool area, which is one of my favorite parts of the house.
Screenshot-22
I love it.

Off the big room with the purple pool table, we have a couple very bland punishment spaces bedrooms.
Here is a room fit for an aging great-grandmother.
Screenshot-23
And I make David and Meredith share this space.
Screenshot-25
Ha ha, it’s so dismal!
They also have a bathroom.
Screenshot-24
Wee!

Straight ahead from the entry…
Screenshot-26

…we have the dining and bar!
Screenshot-27

Complete with slot machine nook.
Screenshot-28
This IS Lucky Palms!

And then the kitchen!  One of the few completed areas of the home.
Screenshot-29

Just up those two sets of tile stairs, you find a VAST EMPTY SPACE
Screenshot-30
For now.

But it connects to these lovely glass doors.
Screenshot-31

Which leads to this darling roof terrace!
Screenshot-32
Complete with spectacular view!
Screenshot-33

Also upstairs are three more large empty rooms, and then we have Ralen’s space.
Screenshot-34
I know it’s not much for now, but it’ll do.

They do have a wonderful bathroom however!
Screenshot-35
Since I couldn’t place bathtubs before, you may notice an excess of them going forward.  The walls are also fully painted now.

There is a “Life Skills Corner”
Screenshot-36

And another completed space, the adorable nursery.
Screenshot-37

Then a community bathroom accessible from the great empty area.
Screenshot-38
Why yes, that is a bathtub.

Off the expansive empty space, I have a surprisingly complete laundry nook.
Screenshot-39

Then a room with a bed in it for Giles.
Screenshot-40
And his generic bathroom.
Screenshot-41

Here’s the overview of the top floor
Screenshot-42

And of the main floor
Screenshot-43
The house now has enough stuff in it to be livable and moderately entertaining, so I’m off to play!

Thank you, EVERYONE, for sticking with the crap, and holding my hand through the problems, drama, and technical difficulties.  I ❤ each and every one of you.

The next post will be a PROPER Zale update.  8.5, let’s do it!  Until next time, HAPPY SIMMING!

More Nothing Happens 8.4.6

HI!  I managed to move the Zales over to my new computer!  Enjoy!

First we Zale Check!

Here’s FLORA!  She is still in the rocking chair and won’t die.
Screenshot
She is also black and white because I was messing with where and how I can open the files and well… new computer.  I didn’t even know this was what I had done.  HA!

Giles is playing in the sand.
Screenshot-2
This is familiar.

Meredith has transformed into a Z because she is SO BORING.
Screenshot-3

Helen sleeps.  In this replay of the save file, Ralen managed to NOT look like they’d passed on  in their sleep.
Screenshot-4

Ramon punishes himself and stands in the corner.
Screenshot-5Weirdo.

David teaches us that, in the last post, when we couldn’t decide if he was going to sleep or waking up… well… he was waking up!
Screenshot-6
At least I assume so, because he’s now standing around in his PJs.

Ivy is again learning her life skills in the play pen.
Screenshot-7
Adorably.

And we continue to have generic Irene in the swing.
Screenshot-8

I spot Angelica haunting!
Screenshot-9

Helen wanted to go for a stroll with the stroller.
Screenshot-10
Look at the lighting!  The shadows!  The trees!

Ah!  Look how much better the tattoo looks!
Screenshot-11
And her face!  She’s beautiful!  I love my new computer.  Aw… ❤

Cyrus and Liz come out to haunt!
Screenshot-12

And guess what happened next?  My game crashed.  HA HA HA HA H AH AHAH HAHHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAH.  😐

I’m certain it’s the file.  So… I’m not sure what I’m going to do.  I’m thinking about trying to struggle through until we get our “I” TH, then move the heir, and heir alone to a new town, leaving EVERYTHING else behind.  Or I’ll just move the entire family somewhere else… I don’t know.  I’m also toying with the idea of moving Ralen and the babies out to a new town.  I’m open to suggestions, ideas, and advise.  But I’ve played the same five days three times now.  I’m sick of loading the game to rocking Flora, sand boxing Giles, and sleeping everyone else.

But – I got a new computer out of the deal so… yay?

I think I’m going to go play with the Lightnings now.  Their save file was half a gig, and the Zales used up most of my 8GB thumb drive.  I’m sure you forgive me.  Feel free to revisit how awesome the new pics look.

Until next time, HAPPY SIMMING!

Just Kidding…

OMG I never want to see The Sims again, and I hate them all forever and all eternity.

OKAY – I know the above statement will not ring true forever, but for now… SO MUCH RAGE.  I’ve read about people uninstalling and reinstalling their games, but KILL ME NOW.

SO MANY HOURS OF AGONY.  Pink, my oldest SimFriend… you were so right.  I had to get EA help, and I had to… ugh… I’ll spare you all the details.  But it’s 1:00 am my time, and I have work, and I JUST WANT TO FINISH!  Into The Future is downloading as we speak, and if when I open this game, it isn’t the most fantastic thing I’ve ever seen…  Well let’s just say it better be the most fantastic thing I’ve ever seen.  EVER.

ON THE PLUS SIDE – In between ALL OF THE WAITING I was able to redownload all of my Store purchased items… so yay?

Commiserate with me, fellow Simmers.  I need it!

EXCITING NEWS!!

So!  I’ve likely proven to you all that I’m taking this Simming and Blogging thing seriously.  Like dear LaserKitteh pointed out, if the Zales were a standard legacy, they’d be almost finished!  After last night’s crash and disappointment, I have acquired a NEW COMPUTER! (and monitor!)  I don’t speak geek, so I don’t know all the specs, but I’m ELATED!  I’m ready to crank the graphics settings up to the max, and try my hand in Bridgeport AND travelling and watch it work!  And if it doesn’t, I’m taking it back.  SO THERE!

SO!  I, of course, will not be updating until I get all the stuff transferred.  I expect to be back in possession of my new beauty on Thursday night, but I have now agonizing dinner plans with my parents.  But I’m certain to have updates for you on both the Zales and the Lightnings THIS WEEKEND!

Squee with me friends!  HUZZAH!
Clappy
Clappy Clappy Clappy!

Nothing Happens 8.4.5

Hello!  Welcome back to another Grand Adventure!  I grabbed a cup of coffee, my note taking accoutrements and was ready to provide you with a fine Zale post!  I was sure there would be deaths!  Births!  Birthdays and promotions!  Successes and failures!  Well – you’ll just have to see what happens.

ZALE FAMILY CHECK!

Flora is right where we left her, exiting the rocking chair and feeling BUFF.
Screenshot
She is adorable, however.

Old man Giles, who just may pass on before his mother was captured enjoy the sandbox of his youth.
Screenshot-2
Adorable.

Meredith is snoring.
Screenshot-3
Less Adorable.  *David and Meredith need to exit the Zale house.  For Reals*

And Helen and Ramon appear to have died in their sleep.
Screenshot-4
Screenshot-5
Very spooky.

David is either heading to bed, or waking up – it’s around 3:00 am…
Screenshot-6
Which might help you determine which, but SIMS.

Ivy is looking adorable and teaching herself life skills in the play pen.
Screenshot-7

Lastly we have baby Irene!
Screenshot-8
Looking generic in her swing.

Ralen are fine, by the way, they were just getting to sleep.  My pause was at a fun time, however.
Screenshot-9

Helen needs “Reports” to be able to advance in her LTW related career, and since Flora won’t die the house is full, and she’s not pregnant, we need to work on it!  So we chat up the maid!
Screenshot-10
They had a decent relationship to begin with, so it’s “Question” time!
Screenshot-11
I’m sure she’s “Face one” but I think she’s cute.
Questioning was an epic success, I even believe the maid mimed hitting a homerun!
Screenshot-12
Thank you new friend! *HIGHFIVE* Meld Hands!

Needing more people to write reports on, and it appears they cannot be members of the house, Helen heads out on the town!
Screenshot-13

She visits Frond’s house!
Screenshot-14
Here is his lovely home that refuses to render.  It’s got charm, class, size, and LOCATION, it is just outside the town square.  Or Circle.  Whatever.

Helen has a nice chat with her… erm… Great-uncle?
Screenshot-15
I’m not good at family relation titles.  My parents are both only children, and I have one brother.  That leaves no aunts, uncles, cousins, etc… Tiniest. Family. Ever.

Then I saw that Helen had a “trade kitchen secrets” action available, and I thought that was adorable, so they did.
Screenshot-16
I really enjoyed this visit until…
I hate you

SO FINE!  THIS IS ALL YOU GET.  Being the astute readers that you are, you have likely noticed this is NOT chapter 8.5 like it should be, but 8.4.5 which is my attempt at doing some sort of 8.4 and a half with decimals.  I DO NOT MATH.  I played too much to begin again and replay all the playing, and give you a nice post tonight, but I REALLY WANTED TO POST TONIGHT.  And well, it’s my party, so it may not be the nice post I wanted for you, but it’s the post I have.  So you’ll enjoy it, dangnabit.

Speaking of parties, when Helen was walking out the door to visit Frond, we got a party invite from Frond.  I think the party started while Helen was there for a visit, and this caused my game to crash.  Parties, outside of University, always crash my game.  Except that one time when Abraham met Angelica.  It’s my own fault really.  I know my game can’t handle parties.  Or travelling… Anyway.  I’m as disappointed as you are with this post… I might need to move the Zales.  The load screen took FOREVER, and they’ve been in Monte Vista since… Since Giles was a newborn in chapter 6.2.  I know it’s good for the family when we move…  Any idea readers?  Where to?  I’ve never even set foot in Hidden Springs…

The “I”s Have It 8.4

Welcome back to the Zale Family ISBI – Alphabetcy!  Quick note, if you haven’t caught up with the Lightning Alphabetcy, I did manage to get a second post up – don’t forget to follow to receive updates!  *Ahem* back to the Zales!  Last time Helen and Ramon got married, we threw a Snowflake Day Party, Shelley went to the big PC in the sky, and the first “I” baby was on the way!  Let’s get on with it!  Note:  Alternate title for this post is “Flora Won’t Die”…

Let’s begin with a Family Check!
Here we have ancient Flora feeling a wee bit peckish.
Screenshot

Less ancient, but also old Giles feeling a wee bit wicked.
Screenshot-2

Meredith standing around waiting for Giles to startle her.
Screenshot-3

Our very own TH we capture in the shower.
Screenshot-4
Sorry Helen!

And her delightful husband Ramon playing on the computer.
Screenshot-5

Lastly, forgotten SimChild David standing around in the hall.
Screenshot-6

On with this post!  We have a baby to prepare for!  With Vigilance!
Screenshot-7

Hi you adorable little Sim you.
Screenshot-8
ILU Ramon!

It was a fine Sunday evening, and Helen wanted a pizza.
Screenshot-9

Adorable family night!
Screenshot-10

Out in the yard I spot a GNOME PARTY!
Screenshot-11
Left to Right: Julia, Amy, Zefie, Pink, Next Top Commenter, Sammy and Miss Wingless!  Aren’t they adorable?  Yes.  Yes they are.

Flora and Meredith play some night catch.
Screenshot-12

And although Meredith didn’t bond much with David as an infant or a toddler, she’s very good with him as a child.
Screenshot-13
Their relationship is quite high!

I went to check on Flora because she’s so old…
Screenshot-14
…And I discovered that my lifespan was set at 35 from my Lightning Alphabetcy!  OH!  I instantly fixed it, but who know what it’ll do to the aging process of the Zales.  😐

I heard haunting over on the Zale plot, and found Traci out and about!
Screenshot-15
Hi there!

Hey look, Frond is finally an elder!
Screenshot-16
He’s making this lovely face because he’s hanging around the Zale Graveyard, and didn’t like the sight of Traci the ghost.

Look who else popped out of his tomb?
Screenshot-17
HI ABRAHAM! ❤

Giles, left unattended, puts on his nasty pants.  Disguised as purple swimwear.
Screenshot-18
And slaps Meredith around in the bathroom.  Hmm. I do not like.  If he continues to abuse Meredith, I’ll move her and David out together.  (I could also REALLY use the house space) However, at this time, this was the only instance of violence from Giles.

Ramon chooses this exact moment to flex his childish trait and scares Giles.
Screenshot-19
Breaks the tension I guess!

Hey you, don’t you go making the TCTBE face.  I just watched you slap your ex-girlfriend, and the mother of your fourth son.
Screenshot-20
I’m mad at you.

*Note:  I cannot find the Daycare Van – Helen must’ve lost it at University.

We have lots of stir-crazy Sims, as well as lots of wishes to go to the Spring festival, so off we go!
Screenshot-21

Not much happened, and tons of Sims were trapped at the entrance, so I messed with the festival grounds in Edit Town mode, and that was that… exciting, I know.

Back at home, Helen caters to her pregnancy craving and orders more pizza.
Screenshot-22

Then fixes the dishwasher.
Screenshot-23
Because heavily pregnant women waiting for pizza have to keep busy.  😐

Meredith was watching her make the repair, and the pizza still wasn’t here, so Helen announces her pregnancy to Meredith:
Screenshot-25
Meredith:  Oh great, another body to clean up after.

Meredith:  I mean, “cool” thumbs up.
Screenshot-26

Helen: Yes!  My pizza!
Screenshot-27

Helen:  Oh man, this is gonna be so good.
Screenshot-28

Helen: Oh man, I’m going to eat the heck out this pizza.
Screenshot-29

NOO!!!!!  MUST EAT PIZZA!!!!!!!!!
Screenshot-30
The first “I” baby is coming!

Helen:  All I wanted was a piece of pizza.
Screenshot-31
Helen grumbled about her pizza, or lack thereof, all the way through her walk to the hospital.

Ramon was fast asleep, but his father sense was tingling, and he’s on his way!
Screenshot-33

He will be sympathy hungry with Helen.
Screenshot-34

I’m coming honey!
Screenshot-35

And it’s a Girl!
Screenshot-36
Aw!  Ralen are parents!  Adorable!  And there you have Ivy Zale!  She rolls artistic and athletic,. She likes Disco, Crepes (ha ha, my iPad made me write creeps), and the color aqua.

Ramon:  Honey?  Wait for me!  I came as fast as I could!
Screenshot-37
Helen:  If the family ate my pizza

Helen:  I’M HOME!  I BROGHT A BABY!  WHERE’S THE PIZZA!
Screenshot-38

Ivy gets her very own magic baby jail swing, as Flora refuses to die, and is occupying the last available bedroom.
Screenshot-39

And Helen gets her pizza.
Screenshot-40
But I think she looks pissed, because it got cold.  Sorry Helen!  Your inconvenient childbirth screwed up your dinner.  Such fine priorities!

The household is obviously and understandably smitten with Ivy while Helen catches up on her sleep.
Screenshot-41

Soon, it was LOVE DAY!  It’s pouring, but Ralen HAS to celebrate, so they head to the pool!
Screenshot-42

Hey, a date is a date!
Screenshot-43

Swim time!
Screenshot-44
I love this picture.  The weather has cleared too!

As soon as they hop in, Helen hops out!
Screenshot-45
And POPS out too!  Another “I” baby is on the way!  Woohoo!

Giselle was also at the pool!
Screenshot-46
Always have to document a spare sighting!

Ralen Splashy Splashy!
Screenshot-47
Helen:  What did you do to me, boy!  I’m pregnant again!

After the swim, the loving couple stood around at had a bite at the restaurant.
Screenshot-48
They then ate at separate tables.
Screenshot-49
How romantic.  😐

After the meal, they caught a show.
Screenshot-50
The critically acclaimed “Mold that Moved”.

They had a lovely Love Day.
Screenshot-51

But back at home, parenting duties resume.
Screenshot-52
Adorably.

I then woke Helen up early, sent her around to do all the laundry and make some waffles for the entire family before work/school.
Screenshot-53
While cooking for everyone, the danged machine broke.  Great.

Family waffles!
Screenshot-54

Come and get ’em!
Screenshot-55
Aw, adorable.  Little PJ clad family waffle breakfast.

Note:  I adore my Helen now.  I have a lot of fun playing her.  She’s a sweet Sim who takes care of the family.  The household is in a strange place with Meredith and Giles as enemies, and David kind of in the middle of being spare, and just taking up space.  We also have ancient Flora WHO JUST WON’T DIE.  So it’s frequently just Helen and I, doing what we can to help the household through this awkward phase.

Helen loves her soon to be baby.
Screenshot-56

She loves this Nooboo too:
Screenshot-58

Neep neep Nooboo.
Screenshot-57
*BOOP*  Parenting complete for next couple hours…

Which is GOOD because Helen went off for a wee and…
Screenshot-59

Again, during the throes of labor pains, Helen walks to the hospital.
Screenshot-60

Spot Ramon!
Screenshot-61
He’s coming running!

It’s a GIRL! Damn
Screenshot-62
Meet Irene!  She rolls insane and absent minded.  She likes.. oh.. I didn’t write it down.  I really wanted a boy, because as you know, I need one boy and one girl (and it’s a boy’s turn!) and now the house is full!

Ramon:  my wife is hot!
Screenshot-63
Helen:  Hello Wall.
Irene:  *SCREAMS*

Flora! You ancient beast!  DIE ALREADY!
Screenshot-64
Helen looks like she just MIGHT be plotting her death in the background.

I SPY SPARES!
Screenshot-65
And Alejandro.  He was NOT invited.  But Giselle and Hank were!

Hal is here too!
Screenshot-66

And Frond!
Screenshot-67
Who really knows how to party…

Giles shocks the heck out of me and proves he has the best relationship with Ivy.
Screenshot-68
Harold photobombs.

Helen does not approve of her evil father glowing all over Ivy’s first birthday.
Screenshot-69

Rockin’ party.
Screenshot-70
😐

But there’s two cakes!  Not just Ivy’s birthday, but David’s too!
Screenshot-71

Ivy does go first however, and holy crap…
Screenshot-72
She’s blonde!

But she does get Ramon’s eye color!
Screenshot-73
She’s pretty cute, and after the Ugly, Ugly Children over on the Lightning Alphabetcy, she’s a sight for sore eyes!  I love my little Ivy.

David rolled bot fan to go with equestrian, couch potato, and heavy sleeper.
Screenshot-74
We gotta fix those eyebrows.

Here we go!
Screenshot-75
He’s adorable and handsome, even while blinking *sigh* And he also likes aqua like Ivy.

Gwen is also here at the party!
Screenshot-76
Heartfarting Ramon because, well duh.  It’s Ramon!

It was a great party, verging on epic, in fact – and while everyone ate cake, Ivy learned how to walk!
Screenshot-77

And Flora?
Screenshot-78
She just won’t die!

And that’s all for this post!  I really need some space in the house to pop out some more “I” babies!  Between Not-Dying Flora, Giles’ ex-lover Meredith, and their son David, the house has a lot of unnecessary bodies taking up valuable space!  Helen’s adult birthday is looming, and she has a career based LTW to work on, so we can’t be pregnant forever… and a boy is required!  Come back soon!
